Not converted
The same list is saved as conversion-report.txt inside the ZIP.
Converted with notes
These files converted, but something was left out or guessed. Check them before you rely on them.
The same list is saved as conversion-report.txt inside the ZIP.
What each file becomes
- Word (.docx) → Markdown (.md)
- Web pages (.html, .htm) → Markdown (.md)
- Spreadsheets (.csv, .tsv, .xlsx) → Markdown tables (.md), every sheet of a workbook
- Markdown (.md, .markdown) → your choice: Word (.docx), plain text (.txt) or Excel tables (.xlsx)
Converted files keep their folder structure inside the ZIP. Two files that would get the same name are kept apart as "name (2)". A file that cannot be converted, or is a type the batch does not handle, is skipped and listed in conversion-report.txt in the ZIP, so one bad file never stops the rest. A file that converts but loses something on the way is listed there too, under "Converted with notes": images left out of a Word file (tick "Embed Word images in the Markdown (data: URIs)" to keep them), images in a web page with no usable address, parts of a Word file the converter could not map, and text files that were not UTF-8 and were read as Windows-1252 or UTF-16.
Your licence key
The key is kept in this browser (localStorage) so you only enter it once per browser. About once a week the page sends the key to our server to confirm it is still valid, together with the activation id and check token our server gave this browser for that key. Nothing about your files is sent. If you are offline, Prokeeps working for 14 days after the last successful check.
